To me a satire is making fun of something serious but not trying to hide the fact that it is serious. To me a good example of current day satire would be either the daily show with jon stewert or the colbert report. What makes these realy good example of satire is that the topic it is talking about is not neccisarly funny but it is being adressed as if it is funny. Here is a video from the daily show and in it he is adressin how the media with holds important information from us just to get ratings

He used humor to talk to us about a topic that he felt was wrong yet by using humor to tell us he made his point more obvious to us. To me this is a perfect exaple of current day satire

  1. being a comedian makes a lot of people to laugh about serious subjects or even the news,,like the video above,,i think that comedians sometimes pass a their level of making of something,,for example,,comedians even make fun of president Obama..in which i think is rude..and unrespectful...imaging what the president would say about the comedian making fun of him.!!wow!!

  3. Wow, angle, I watched his shows too, but sometimes the way he was making fun of something just confused me. Hahaha.
However, he is the best example in our discussion right now, the word satire. He’s making fun of people, who making fun of somebody else. That’s just so funny lol
