I really dont agree with what the schools did in both cases. I am totally against any kind of censorship what so ever. I beleive that if a person doesnt agree with what i have to say then they shouldnt listen and not make me have to be censored. I am not saying that the person is to be forced to listen to what i have to say just that i should be forced to silence myself just because someone else doesnt want to hear it. That is protected by our constituition and should not be trampled on and tossed away when ever someone wants to ignore something.

in mine point of view even though we do have those rights that still doesnt mean that we are able to say anything that we want because we could be hurting other poeple. if we start saying what ever we want then we might be starting some trouble beacsue i think that we should all feel welcome and safe where ever we go and we shouldnt have to leave just beacuse someone is expandening their right in an anapropriet way.
ReplyDeleteHey Angel, I understand that you don't want to be censored what so ever. Absolutely, you disagree with what those schools did to the students. Have you ever think about if we don't censor something, what would be the consequences? For example, some movies rated R, if we don't censor some scenes, then how our young children who watch it will react?
ReplyDeleteAngel, I agree with you maybe a 99%, because there are things out there that do need to be censored. You may be right that you can express yoursef like you ever feel like doing it but there are ways to do it and also rules to follow. It may be sometimes hard ,but it helps for keeping things under control.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the schools were both wrong but I don't fully agree with all the things you said. No censorship at all? Should someone have the right to threaten another? Should a person have the right to start a fight or riot with their words? Should a person have the right to yell racial slurs at someone else? Should a person be able to yell fire in a crowded area? What the hard thing is about freedom of speech is where to draw that line.
